We ship in the hydroponics pot shown in the photo, filled with expanded clay, which is neutral to aquarium water.

Mount the pot near the edge of the aquarium (it only needs to be half-submerged). You can also do this in a sump or external downdraft.

To illuminate the mangrove, you can use a 35W VERTICANA lamp with a spectrum appropriate for mangroves. We sell the lamps with an 80-degree lens, so the lamp's maximum effectiveness is between 50-100cm from the illuminated plant.

The VERTICANA lamp can also be used to illuminate macroalgae or phytoplankton.
